Wendy is schizophrenic, too.
No, seriously. The final scene sees her talking to Scott Bakula’s social worker while a clearly imaginary friend hisses ugly suggestions into her ear. Unlike the early scenes involving Jake, which take pains to play fair with his non-reality, an earlier scene involving Wendy’s friend seems perfectly normal, and there are no other suggestions that she’s deranged as well. Even if there were, that’s still beyond moronic, especially since it mostly seems designed to set up a possible sequel: Enter The Dangerous Female Mind.
