Everett’s autobiography is indeed a heartbreaker—the son of pioneering physicist Hugh Everett III, the musician lost his famous father, his sister Elizabeth, and his mother Nancy all in the space of 16 years. That’s his entire immediate family. Everett’s book “asks how one young man can survive an unsteady upbringing along with the deaths of his entire family and manage to make something worthwhile of his life.”
Now that gut-twisting emotional rollercoaster ride will make its way to the theater, where at least it’s easier to cry without anyone seeing you.
Variety reports that Everett’s story will soon hit the big screen, thanks to Troika, whose Luke Jaden and Cort Johns are producing the feature. Everett himself will executive-produce the film. A new adaptation will be penned for the screen by Jaden and Johns, and director Anthony Garth is already on board to helm the feature film.
Jaden and Johns are currently wrapping up production on their Barkhad Abdi-starring Wolf Who Cried Boy, and it is believed that Things The Grandchildren Should Know will be their next feature. Stock up on tissues now.
