Last week I was invited on the Nick Digilio Show to discuss my Philip Seymour Hoffman Career View with the host, who was a big fan of the actor as well. We were only supposed to talk for 20 or 30 minutes, but it went so well and proved such a meaty subject that we ended up taking about the great man’s life and work and legacy for close to an hour.
You can listen to the podcast here. It’s worth a listen, if only for the great Hoffman sound clips from his various films; I was damn near choked up when they played the clip from Almost Famous that gave the piece its title. So if you love Philip Seymour Hoffman and can tolerate my voice, with its gentle/headache-inducing rising and falling, then you may want to check out this talk about a great man who is greatly missed. Oh, and depending on how they edited it, some of your favorite Dissolvers might be mentioned as well.
