I’m sure there are many good reasons to go to London in April. The sights are lovely and the weather is not quite as terrible as it is at other times of the year. But for the actors from the original Star Wars trilogy—Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford—one would imagine there’s really only two reasons they would all be in London in April at the exact same time: sheer blind coincidence, or gearing up to shoot Star Wars: Episode VII—Force Majeure, which is reportedly scheduled to begin production next month.
As noted by Entertainment Weekly, all three stars have been spotted in England in recent days. Harrison Ford was seen hanging out with Air Ambulance pilots. Carrie Fisher, who already insisted she was in the movie, was tweeting about her dog being spotted around town without her. And Mark Hamill popped up on Peter Serafinowicz’s Twitter feed, in a coy tweet that wondered why he was in town. (Serafinowicz is no stranger to the galaxy far, far away either; he voiced Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace.)
Those who believe in coincidence may continue thinking these three all made random European travel plans at exactly the same time. Stranger things have happened (like, for example, The Star Wars Holiday Special). But it’s looking more and more likely that Luke, Han, and Leia are gearing up to don their lightsabers, blasters, and cinnamon bun hairdos once again.
